Book Festival has championed the belief that “Literacy is Legacy.” As we celebrate our 16th year, we’re bringing a F.R.E.S.H. perspective to the conversation—exploring new ways to inspire, strengthen, and magnify literacy across generations and throughout our communities.

The F.R.E.S.H. Book Film Festival is making a bold move as we celebrate 11 years of bringing powerful Black stories, films, screenwriters, directors, and producers to Daytona Beach. We are collaborating to bring you a film festival that is F.R.E.S.H.!
The City of Daytona Beach, Stan Harrison Insurance Agency, Florida Coastal Jazz Society, and Cinematique join F.R.E.S.H. Book Film Festival 2027 as we boldly offer films to remember.
This year, we're taking the experience to the next level with a day-long film festival at Cinematique Theater. Film lovers will have the opportunity to experience multiple full-length films throughout the day, connect with talented filmmakers, engage in insightful panel discussions, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the newly renovated Beach Street.
It's more than a film festival—it's a celebration of Black storytelling, creativity, culture, and the people behind the stories that move us.
