F.R.E.S.H. Children's Book Festival

Held each year in June at the Julia T. and Charles W. Cherry, Sr. Cultural and Educational Center, the F.R.E.S.H. Children's Book Festival showcases local and national children's authors, promoting child literacy. 

Books & Baskets for Easter

In collaboration with the International Free and Accepted Masons and Eastern Stars, F.R.E.S.H. helps supply and distribute Easter books and baskets to students.

The International GREAT Black Read Aloud Day

Our partner in literacy, Ladero Press, runs The International GREAT Black Read Aloud Day.  Readers are invited to share book excerpts based on the day's genre.  During the month of February, Read Alouds occur each day.

Zoom In On A F.R.E.S.H. Conversation

A weekly virtual show hosted by Donna M. Gray-Banks, Zoom In On A F.R.E.S.H. conversation provides a platform for authors to be interviewed and market their books.  The show is available on both Facebook and YouTube.

Midtown Book Distribution Drives
We distribute books at every event in which we participate with the Midtown Community Development Corporation.
